7 1/2 Habits

Hmmm. I think I have always considered myself a learner but it was interesting to see the individual habits broken down. The easiest ones for me are probably playing and using technology to my advantage because I like new toys, but I haven't always looked at problems and seen them as an aid to learning something new. And I sometimes start something new without thinking about a specific end - it's like picking up a book at random and discovering a new author you've never read before, sometimes it will be delightful and other times ..... not so much. In which case you put the book down and try something else, but that is precisely why we humans are such an interesting lot. We are curious and there are so many ideas and thoughts and perspectives that you really can spend a lifetime learning new things which, all in all, is a good thing.

never ever tear up your kitchen for Christmas!

Ok, I know it's totally dumb, but the weekend after Thanksgiving I tore out my sink, countertop, and cabinets. I had to move the dishwasher and refrigerator to another room in order to get the new flooring installed. But my dining room and part of the living room is piled to the rafters with all the misplaced items from the kitchen, my family is grouchy from eating out most of the time, and I'm still waiting for the countertop to be delivered so I can get the new sink, etc. installed in time to fix Christmas dinner. sigh.
